NEXTWAVE / Farms & remote sites
Internet & Wi-Fi for farms and remote sites.
A rural address, a difficult route or a separate working building can change the approach. We assess the available internet options and plan connections around the realities of the site.

Sites with limited broadband or difficult routes
01 / The approach
Bring a usable service onto the site.
Where fixed broadband falls short, Starlink installation or a suitable 4G/5G connection may provide another route. The decision depends on address availability, sky or mobile signal conditions, equipment access, power and ongoing service arrangements.
The speed of that incoming service is separate from coverage at the working location. A useful connection at the farmhouse router may still need a building link and local access point to reach the farm office or workshop.
A fixed 4G/5G installation is another option where the location supports it. The site-wide network plan then determines how that service reaches each building.
02 / The approach
Follow the work across the property.
A farm office, metal barn and workshop each need a considered connection to the working building. The office may need calls and uploads, while a barn may need coverage only at specific working positions. Metal cladding can make an indoor access point more appropriate than trying to reach through the wall.
Where existing cameras or gates need a data connection, tell us the equipment, location and its supplier’s requirements. We can assess the connectivity within the project scope; this does not imply camera, gate or electrical installation is included.

Illustrative distribution plan, not a scale map or completed project. Yard crossings, trees, cladding and power can change the route.
03 / The approach
Account for the working environment.
Vehicle routes, moving machinery, doors, exposed cable runs and seasonal vegetation can affect installation choices. Outdoor equipment needs a suitable position and environmental protection; safe access for installation and future maintenance also matters.
Power is needed for active equipment at the destination. Fibre carries data rather than power, and a wireless link still has powered equipment at both ends. Tell us about missing or unreliable power so any dependency is identified before booking.
04 / The approach
Agree the places and tasks to check.
Rather than assume blanket coverage over every field or building, identify the office, bays, workshop and outdoor working positions that matter. The agreed checks can then distinguish the incoming service, each building link and coverage where a device is actually used.

answers.
Yes. Tell us the location and what needs connecting. The available options are part of the assessment.
Tell us at the outset. We need to understand the power arrangements before proposing active network equipment; any additional provision or dependency must be clarified.
