NEXTWAVE / Construction site internet

Construction site internet & Wi‑Fi installation.

Get site offices, cabins, CCTV and working areas online when fixed broadband is unavailable, delayed or unsuitable. We plan the incoming service and the network that distributes it around the site.

  • 01

A new site needs connectivity before a fixed line is available

  • 02

Several cabins, compounds or working areas need one planned network

  • 03

CCTV, access systems or site operations depend on a reliable connection

01 / The approach

Get the site online without waiting for a fixed circuit.

Construction sites often need internet before permanent telecoms are ready. Depending on the location, the incoming service might use Starlink, 4G/5G or an available fixed connection. We assess the options against the site's coverage, expected use and practical installation conditions.

The incoming connection is only the first layer. The project also needs a sensible way to distribute that connection to the cabins, offices and operational areas that rely on it.

Explore the installation requirements for 4G/5G internet and Starlink. A planned backup path can support agreed essential systems if the primary service fails.

02 / In practice

Distribute connectivity around the compound.

Site cabins can be linked with suitable cabling or wireless point-to-point connections, while outdoor access points can provide agreed Wi-Fi coverage around selected working areas. The design depends on distances, line of sight, temporary structures, power and how the site will change.

Where a camera system, gate, time-and-attendance terminal or other device needs network access, that requirement can be included in the same assessment instead of being treated as a separate afterthought.

Starlink, 4G/5G or existing fixed service considered as the incoming connection

  • 02

Links between cabins and site areas planned around the actual layout

  • 03

Staff, guest and operational traffic separated where the project requires it

03 / The approach

Design for a site that will move and change.

A construction network may need to change as cabins move, phases complete or permanent services arrive. We identify which parts of the system are temporary, which may remain, and what reconfiguration could be required later.

Mounting, cable routes, equipment locations and safe access are agreed around the live site. Any site-specific limitations or further checks are made clear before installation.

04 / The approach

Move from temporary connectivity to the finished site.

Where a permanent fibre or broadband service is due later, the temporary network can be planned with that transition in mind. The same switching, cabling or Wi-Fi infrastructure may sometimes continue to serve the finished premises, subject to the agreed design.

Before you enquire

A few useful
answers.

It depends on the location, mobile coverage, available sky view, required capacity and how the service will be used. We assess the practical options rather than assuming one technology is always best.

Yes, where the connection and site network are sized and designed for the intended use. Cabins may be connected by cable or wireless links depending on the layout.

Compatible CCTV and other operational devices can be included within the agreed scope. Traffic separation, bandwidth and remote-access requirements should be considered during the design.

No blanket speed guarantee is made from a postcode or photograph. Performance depends on the incoming service, radio conditions, network design, devices and site conditions. Any project-specific test or acceptance requirement is agreed in writing.
